International Yoga Day 2020
Every year, June 21 is recognised as International Yoga Day. However, this year, due to social distancing measures adopted is "Yoga for Health – Yoga at Home".
At that occasion Director Dr. Shailesh Sharma said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating "yoga at home" and "yoga with family" as the theme for International Yoga Day 2020 to maintain social distance in the times of coronavirus pandemic, it is a good opportunity to take a step towards being fitter by performing yoga asanas with your partner or family members. Working out with a partner is known to have many benefits, from strengthening bond to helping each other stay healthy. He also added that "Yoga is an invaluable gift from our ancient tradition. Yoga embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, a holistic approach that is valuable to our health and our well-being. Yoga is not just about exercise; it is a way to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and nature,"
The staff members and students who not reached to institute celebrated the day at their home with full of enthusiasm.
