Vice Chanellor, PTU Inaugurates Research Lab

and Herbal Garden in Bela Pharmacy College

Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, Bela has newly constructed Pharmacognosy research lab with an estimated cost of 20 lakhs and developed Ayurvan (herbal garden) sprawling in the area of 5000 sq. ft. with more than 100 varieties of medicinally important plants were inaugurated by Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Hon. Vice Chancellor, Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, Chief Guest and Sardar Manminder Singh, DSP, Chamkaur Sahib  was Guest of Honour.

 

S. Sangat Singh Longia, Hon. Secretary, Managing Committee of the college welcomed Dr. Rajneesh Arora and all dignitaries whereas; the Director of the institute, Prof. G.D. Gupta highlighted the journey of Institute and over all academic development of the institution.

The Vice-Chancellor addressed the gathering with his enlightening Key note address and distributed Prizes and certificates to the toppers of the institute from B. Pharm., such as, Harpreet Kaur, II Sem (82.7%), Navjot Kaur, IV Sem (82.6%), Ramanjot Kaur, VI Sem (79%) and Sakshi, VIII Sem (77%) and M. Pharm., such as, Lakhvir Kaur, Pharmaceutics (80%), Sarita Kamboj,  Pharm. Chemistry (80%), Deeksha Singh, Pharmacology (77%) and Amrita Kainth, Pharmacognosy (83%).

S. Rajbans Kaur, Dr. Bhag singh Bola, S. Jagjit Singh, Prof. M.S. Dhillon, S. Harminder Singh, S. Sukhwinder Singh Whisky and other managing committee members many other invited dignitaries, staff members and students were also present.

Prof. Surmukh Singh and Dr. Deepak P. Bhagwat compared the function. Vote of thanks was given by the Director, Dr. G.D. Gupta.
