Carom and Chess competitions at COPBELA

Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial (Autonomous) College of Pharmacy, Bela, Ropar conducted Carom and Chess competitions. The director of the college, Dr. Shailesh Sharma inaugurated the competition. Encouraging the students, Dr. Sharma said that nowadays students should take part in sports as per their interest for their holistic development along with their studies. This inspires in the students a tendency to win with the help of discipline, patience, mental and physical strength. With this they can become a good member of society.

In Carom Ms. Simran Kaur and Ms.Harman Kaur bagged the first and second positions respectively. In the boys carom event Mr. Masoor Hashmi and Riteish Kumar came first and second respectively. In chess, Jasmine Randhawa came first in girls and Abhishek Gutam in boys.

The winning students were finally awarded with certificates and shields. Finally, Placement office of the college Mr. Harsimran Sungh, proposed the vote of thanks to the organizers of the competition. Mr. Pritpal Singh, Mr. Satnam Singh, Superintendent of college Sukhwinder Singh and Coordinators Mr. Pushpinder Singh and Miss Rupinder Kaur and congratulated the winning students.
