COP-BELA observed World Environment Day

World Environment day was observed at ASBASJSM College of Pharmacy, Bela Ropar. Director of College Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh Sharma briefed that The theme for World Environment Day 2020 is biodiversity: a concern that is both urgent and existential. The environment in which we all live can be understood as a blanket that keeps life on the planet sage and sound. It plays a vital role in keeping living things healthy. It provides food, shelter, air, and fulfils all over needs. Likewise, it maintains the ecological balance on earth. The whole life support of humans depends solely on environmental factors. Without environment we cannot imagine life on this planet.

But today, when there has been a lot of technological development in the world, the environment in which we are living is becoming increasingly contaminated.

Therefore, to spread awareness and to make people understand that they have a role to play in preventing the loss of biodiversity and preserving nature for our future. Prof. Sharma and present staff members planted 50 plants and pledged to take care of environment on this day while maintaining social distancing.
