An Autonomous Status to COP-BELA
UGC grants an autonomous status to Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, BELA. IKG Punjab Technical University gave conferment of status to the college. Director Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh Sharma told that status is for upcoming 10 years and in pan India only 07 (seven) Pharmacy Colleges have this status. It is a matter of pride to the Punjab state and Department of Technical Education.
He added that now the college could keep pace with the times and formulate new education policies and impart better education to the students. He said that the team of University Grants Commission had visited the college last February 2021 and after thorough investigation the college has been recognized as an Autonomous College. He said that all this was the result of the visionary leadership of the management committee, hard work of the staff members and students. With this achievement, the college has become one of the leading colleges in India.
S. Sardar Sangat Singh Logia, President, College Management Committee, Capt. M.P., Chairman, Sub-Committee, College of Pharmacy President Dr. Bhag Singh Bola, S. Sukhwinder Singh Whiskey (Manager), S. Jagwinder Singh, S. Devinder Singh Jatana, S. Seva Singh, Shri. R.N. Modgil, and members of the group management committee were also present on the occasion. Management thanked the Chairman of the UGC visit squad Prof. Shailendra Saraf, Member Dr. Neeraj Upmanyu, Dr. Rama Rao, Shri. V.K. Bansal Section Officer, Prof. (Dr.) G.D. Gupta and Er. Shyam Goyal and Congratulated director of the college, Dr. Shailesh Sharma and his entire team and hope that all the staff members will continue to contribute in the same way to take the college further.
