COP-BELA PROF GETS AICTE GRANT FOR RESEARCH ON CANCER

Dr. Shailesh Sharma, Professor of Pharmaceutics, has been granted a Major Research Project titled “Evaluation and Management of Early Stage Cutaneous T-cells lymphoma Skin Cancer Cells by Using Antineoplastic Drug Loaded Engineered Microcarriers in Topical Formulations” by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi under Research Promotion Scheme. The research project is based on development of microcarriers vesicles of antineoplastic drug to improve the targeting and penetration; to increase bioavailability of drug; to enhance residence period in the skin; to enhance safety and to increase drug shelf life. This research opens the wide scope in tailoring the microcarriers topical dosage form relevant to the pharmaceutical industrial applications and effective in skin cancer treatment.
