Independence Day celebrated at COP-BELA

The 76th Independence Day was celebrated with fanfare at Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy (An Autonomous College), BELA. The flag was hoisted in the college Secretary S. Jagwinder Singh and the national anthem was sung while hoisting the flag. While giving speech on the occasion of Independence Day, Secretary S. Jagwinder Singh said that 15th August is an important day of India, on this day India got freedom from British slavery. He also said that to commemorate 75 years of independence, Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated all over India, under which the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is being run which will help in developing the feeling of patriotism and nationalism in every citizen of India. On this occasion, Director Dr. Shailesh Sharma said in his words that our aim is to develop such aptitude and ability in the students so that they can protect our country by their ability and skill. For this, our institute provides education of patriotism along with educational qualification in the students.
