Bela Pharmacy College Achieves Milestone with Patent Approval

In a groundbreaking achievement, Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy (Autonomous) has received a patent for its innovative formulation, "Bexarotene Topical Microsponge Gel". Developed by a team led by Dr. Shailesh Sharma, along with Dr. Monika Gupta, Dr. Neelam Sharma, Dr. Rahul Kumar Sharma, and industrial partner Dr. Vipin Kukkar, this gel is designed for the treatment of skin cancer and lymphoma. The team's research yielded excellent results against cancer cells, paving the way for industrial production batches. Following regulatory approval, the formulation will be made available to patients.
